Research Interests

My vision for the future of my research is to move towards the quantification of evolutionary relationships of biochemical pathways/interactions in the context of the expression of yeast proteins, making use of time constraints and the analyses of fluxes and the mRNA encoding them. While making use of the knowledge acquired during my PhD in the analysis, management and integration of heterogeneous data sources, I would like to test complex hypotheses to shed light on the understanding of expression levels, compartmentalization and designing biological systems from proteins to eukaryotic cells such as yeast. In addition, there is a need for new innovative abstractions, providing integration and interpretation of complex systems that could enable scientists to test new data-driven hypotheses, which in turn would open up new paths of discovery in biomedical research. I believe that with my drive and passion this is an attainable goal.
