Research Interests

I'm currently involved on the laboratory side of developing means to paramaterise yeast metabolic models (small molecule-protein binding) and in assay variables (quantitative proteomics).

My main modelling interests concern small-scale evolution. In particular, correlation-based network models to look at the effects of individual mutations, something I've implemented using proteomic data. I am currently working on a tightly controlled evolution system (DNA sequences evolved in silico, scored in an in vitro assay) where we want to model what's going on, something I'm currently approaching using phylogenetic regression. Also, when I have a chance, I'd like to develop a dynamic model I started of a signalling system (quite similar to the E. coli Che system) which has been shown to evolve by the mutation in a particular component, asking about the way the parameters associated with that component affect the system behaviour.

Almost all my modelling uses R.
